Zhou Zhuang

Zhou Zhuang was one destination I wanted to see in China since the first time I read about “The Venice of the East”. I had the need to see it with my own eyes, admire the quality of these buildings, the genius loci that lives among this combination of land and water, and the mutation that has suffer since it was named patrimony of the humanity.
This magnific example of architecture and master piece art is located in a Jiangsu, a little province in the eastern coast of China, 70 kilometers away from Shanghai and 30 kilometers from Suzhou. This little town is really popular for the intern chinese tourism because of the city and also because of the Taoist temple wich was buildt during the song dynasty.
I started the day before going to Zhou Zhuang going to the supermarket to buy food to eat during the day outside the city, the trip takes around 1 hour from Shanghai, there are not much many good views but it´s ok the ride, then arriving to the parking lot there is a little tourist information, I just followed the people because I can´t speak mandarin, and not much people speaks english. I think 1 day is enought to visit this city.
